Charl Schwartzel secured his fourth title in eleven years on Sunday 29th November at the Alfred Dunhill Championship. The world number 50 finished 15 under par when he shot a final-day two-under to win by four shots from Frenchman Gregory Bourdy.
The win comes just after Schwartzel was announced as taking Ernie Els’s position at the Nedbank Golf Challenge in December this year. Els withdrew due to an injury and Schwartzel was invited to play. Both Els and Schwartzel have won 10 European Tour events and are also the two youngest players to do so.
