The rematches of the UEFA Champions League round of 16 are on the menu this Tuesday and Wednesday, and we’re here to analyze them and give reliable picks. Four games are on the menu, and all four will be the subject of our article.
Benfica VS Club Brugge
The Eagles are in an excellent position, having a two-goal lead and playing against the dazzled rivals. It will be a massive surprise if they fail to reach the top eight in Europe. Benfica has four wins in a row, scoring at least twice and allowing just one goal during those 360 minutes.
As for the Belgians, they are facing plenty of problems. Brugge was demolished this Friday night in Oostende, where the hosts triumphed 3-0. Oostende is just an average team in the Jupiler League, yet they looked confident against the UCL unit. Brugges has only one victory in the past seven events away from home.
That’s why we pick Benfica to win this one easily and progress to the next stage.
Pick: Benfica 2/5 at BetXchange
Chelsea VS Dortmund
The Blues posted a win on Saturday, following a long and tough period of six matches in which Graham Potter’s crew failed to triumph. They had three draws and three losses prior to a 1-0 victory over Leeds United. In five of those six meetings, Chelsea netted just once.
The Millionaires have ten straight victories. This is Borussia’s best stretch in a while, and they look as if they might challenge Bayern in the title race. Edin Terzic and his crew posted five triumphs on the road since the restart of the activities, netting twice in four and with moderate efficiency (2 or 3) goals occurring in the same number of events.
This should be a fun game to watch between two teams who love to impose their own pace and tempo. Our suggestion here is for both teams to score.
Pick: Both teams scoring 3/4 at BetXchange
Bayern Munich VS PSG
The Bavarians are in good form, solving the rivals one after another and slowly reaching their optimum. They did have a few glitches after the end of the World Cup, but Naglesmann quickly erased that, and Bayern now looks like the top favorite to win the competition along with Manchester City.
PSG lost Neymar for the season, but some say that is good because of the Brazilian’s poor contribution and ego. The Saints are coming into this affair following a 4-2 victory over Nantes, and only one clean sheet in the past nine games across all the competitions.
Now, Bayern didn’t lose at home for a long, long time, and have seven of the past ten events at the Allianz Arena with them delivering at least three hits. PSG needs to attack, so we have all the necessary factors for a high-scoring affair.
Pick: Both teams to score and over 2.5 goals 4/7 at BetXchange
Tottenham VS AC Milan
The Spurs lost the past two events 1-0, in the FA Cup to Sheffield and the EPL contest vs. Wolves, both away from London. They don’t look as strong as in the previous years, oscillating too much, but still have bursts during which even the best teams in Europe don’t stand a chance against them.
Milan lost to Fiorentina this weekend, 1-0, in Florence. This was the first defeat for Stefano Pioli’s crew following four straight triumphs, all with clean sheets. Though, we need to add that Milan had a lot of luck in those events.
If Tottenham doesn’t win here, that would be a massive disaster for Conte and his crew. They lost the first leg unfortunately, and we believe they are a better team overall than Rossoneri.
Pick: Tottenham 19/20 at BetXchange
