Here are some of our tips for the title in Vienna this week:
Daniil Medvedev – 23/10 – 2021 US Open champion and former world number one Daniil Medvedev, will be eager to pick up another tournament win here in Vienna. Patchy would be the best description of the Russian’s form, particularly since the Australian Open at the start of the year but conditions in Vienna should suit his game.
Stefanos Tsitsipas – 5/1 – Greek superstar Stefanos Tsitsipas remains without a Grand Slam title however, his overall performances on the ATP Tour are amongst the most consistent on the circuit. Picking up more wins as the season draws to a close will be key for Tsitsipas, as he looks to finish the season strongly.
Jannik Sinner – 6/1 – Young Italian Jannik Sinner continues to impress at ATP Tour level and how he would love to finish the season as strongly as possible. Some near misses at Grand Slams in 2022 have been representative of his breakthrough at this level and he’s always a candidate in any tournament he plays.
Andrey Rublev – 8/1 – It has been another excellent superb season for Andrey Rublev, who like many of the Russian players on the ATP Tour, has had to battle many of the constraints put on him this season. Featuring in the World Tour Finals next month will be key for Rublev, which could give him extra motivation here.
Dominic Thiem – 9/1 – Home favourite and 2019 Erste Bank Open winner Dominic Thiem will be backed to the hilt here in Vienna, despite not much form to speak of in 2022. Finding form will be key for Thiem, as he looks ahead to 2023 and the familiar surrounds of Vienna could be the catalyst for him moving forward.
