Further players include:
Ernie Els (South Africa) – The “Big Easy” is one of only 3 players to have won the Nedbank Golf Challenge 3 times. The other two players are Nick Price and David Frost. He is also the highest earning winner of the tournament. Although Ernie is a firm favourite to bet on as champion, the field has opened up to very talented younger players eager to make their mark.
Webb Simpson (United States) – This year will be Webb’s debut at Sun City. The 2012 US Open winner and winner of a further three PGA Tour titles finished 48th on the final FedEx Cup standings in 2015. Looking to become the first American winner of the Nedbank Golf Challenge since Jim Furyk in 2005 and 2006, Simpson is a powerful contender to bet on.
Keegan Bradley (United States) – Keegan became the 2011 PGA Championship winner in his rookie season as a professional. Keegan has also played two Ryder Cups and one Presidents Cup. He is most definitely a strong contender to bet on for the title.
Lee Westwood (England) – Lee won the Nedbank Golf Challenge in 2010 and 2011 and is looking to win his third in order to place him amongst the great ranks of David Frost, Nick Price and Ernie Els as the only 3 time championships in the tournaments history. Lee’s form and motivation are strong and his betting odds to win are in his favour.
Louis Oosthuizen (South Africa) – Louis is South Africa’s darling of Golf, with his relaxed attitude and easy smile Louis is one talented Golfer. Most recently Louis won all four matches together with Branden Grace in the Presidents Cup and was The Open Champion in 2010 after gaining a seven-stroke victory over Westwood at St Andrews. Betting enthusiasts are firmly in favour of Louis winning the Nedbank Golf Challenge but only time will tell.
Other players that were announced on Tuesday included Branden Grace, a South African favourite, Robert Streb from the United States and Scott Piercy (United States) and Steven Bowditch (Australia) who are both making their debut at the Nedbank Golf Challenge this year.
