Real Madrid have already made waves this summer with a big money moves for former Chelsea winger Eden Hazard and Serbian striker Luka Jovic having been completed. It seems, though, that their transfer business is far from done.
Their next signing, that was confirmed today, is of Japanese striker Takefusa Kubo.
While Kubo will not be expected to have the immediate impact of Hazard, he is a player that the club clearly has very high expectations for,
The 18 year-old has signed on a five-year deal from Tokyo FC and he will be getting his second taste of Spanish football after originally starting in Barcelona’s legendary La Masia youth academy when he was nine.
According to the Real Madrid PR department, Kubo has been hailed as “one of the most promising youngsters in world football” and he is known for his “wonderful vision, quick feet and has an eye for goal”.
Kubo will likely begin his career in Madrid slotting into the B team squad at Castilla. Don’t be at all surprised to see him make the jump to the main squad at some point during his first year at the Bernabeu.
Real Madrid are the second favourites at 1.20 to win La Liga next term behind Barcelona at 0.55 with BetXChange.
