UEFA Champions League is closing its group stage this midweek, and we have a few games which might be interesting for our readers. The first is Club Brugge vs. Real Madrid, while the second involves Bayern Munich and Tottenham Hotspur.
Club Brugge vs. Real Madrid Preview
This game has no competitive meaning for Real Madrid, but it is very important for the reputation of the club. Meanwhile, it is critical for the Belgian side who has to stay unbeaten in order to be safe for the knockout stage. The situation is like this, Brugge has three points, Galatasaray two. Bayern Munich vs. Tottenham Hotspur
The two teams which recently lost their managers, but managed to fully recover after replacing them. Hansi Flick took over the wheel in Munich, while Jose Mourinho came back to football with Tottenham.
Bayern enters this clash in shaky mood, after losing this weekend’s derby match against Borussia Moenchengladbach. It was the battle for the top, and now Borussia has seven points advantage over the Bavarians who are sitting seventh in the domestic championship. Also, not to forget, they lost the week before against Bayer Leverkusen at home. The five-time European champs are pretty fired up to bounce back against the big rival from London. The Germans are aware that this is not the team they faced several weeks ago, the one which was falling apart and had bad chemistry on the field.
When mentioning the Spurs, Mourinho’s team dropped points against his former club, Man Utd, but jumped back into the saddle, trashing Bournemouth with 5-0 this Saturday. There are a lot of positive things happening with the Spurs now, and Mourinho is the key reason for that. What is in common for both of these sides is that they play open and efficient matches. Previous five on both sides finished with over 2.5 goals, and when it comes to Tottenham, both teams netted in each. For the Special One, it is something uncharacteristic, but right now, it doesn’t matter if he manages to save the season for the Spurs.
In this case, we are going with both teams to score. From our point of view, these crews have much better attacks than defenses, and the way they play will create plenty of opportunities for scoring. Our proposition is set at 0.47. Now for the second one, we would go with a double chance -Tottenham or draw. The profit at BetXChange is great, 1.68, and we can’t get away from the feeling that the bookies underestimated the Spurs a little bit in this case. The difference in odds in too big, and we just can’t see the reason for that.
