We are ahead of Bundesliga round 20, which opens in Gelsenkirchen, where Schalke awaits Wolfsburg. Yet the derby of the round is in Leipzig, as RB meets Union Berlin in what should be the most interesting event.
German champions Bayern Munich hosts Bochum, and Werder plays with Borussia Dortmund. Here are the previews and odds, along with our picks.
Werder Bremen VS Borussia Dortmund
Following a disastrous campaign restart and two defeats, 7-1 in Koln and 1-2 at home to Union Berlin, Werder bounced back,, winning twice in a row, against Wolfsburg, 2-1, and Stuttgart, 0-2. Yes, these rivals aren’t some top-caliber names, but six points are six points.
Borussia plays excellent football and is now third in the standings, with only three points fewer than their biggest rivals, Bayern Munich. The Millionaires won all four games following the World Cup, netting at least twice in each one.
When looking at the overall performances of both crews, our pick here is for both teams to score because, on one side, Borussia has a very good attack but often concedes. At the same time, Werdeer also has a much better offense than its backline.

Bayern Munich VS Bochum
The Bavarians got back to their usual rhythm with a 2-4 win over Wolfsburg on the road, which could have been more convincing. Previously, they’ve smashed Mainz in DFB Pokal, 0-4, breaking a three-game streak of draws.
Bochum fights for its life, sitting right above the relegation zone, with three points more than Stuttgart. They had mixed success in the past month, winning and losing two games, but always delivering a show, as three of those events saw both teams netting and at least four hits.
Since Bochum plays efficient matches, we believe Bayern has a plan to exploit this to its advantage. We will be brave here and recommend Bayern scoring two goals in the first 45 minutes.

FC Koln VS Eintracht Frankfurt
The Billy Goats have yet to lose in the second part of the campaign. After humiliating Werder in the opening game, they took one point in Munich against Bayern 1-1, then played a goalless draw on the road vs. Schalke before taking another point against a title contender, RB Leipzig, 0-0.
Across the field is Eintracht, which is also on the rise, with Kolo Mouani leading the way and posting excellent performances. The Eagles have three victories and two draws. Both draws were on the road, in Freiburg and Munich vs Bayern, and both were 1-1.
We will take both teams to score here. The reason is simple, Eintracht plays like that, particularly on the road, where they try to outscore the rivals and aren’t too keen on playing some tough defense.

RB Leipzig VS Union Berlin
The Bulls have been massacred with injuries, yet they aren’t slowing down. Three wins and two draws have been their record in the past five events, and on all but one occasion, there were goals on both ends. For the moment, they are fourth in the Bundesliga standings with four points fewer than Union Berlin, who comes to town.
The Berliners are in the best possible shape with five straight victories, scoring at least twice in each one and in but one with a conceded goal. They are the biggest and the most positive surprise in the league.
In our opinion, both teams netting here is the top choice. The stats and the style of play of the respective units are simply forcing us to bet on this.
