A pro fighter MMA called Marc Allen started calling me He-Man during training.

I enjoy watching old school classic wrestling.

4. When did you start MMA and what made you choose to pursue it professionally?
My best friend Darius, showed me some old school UFC dvds with Vitor Belfort and Chuck Liddell. As my interest in MMA slowly grew we would watch live shows late into the night screaming and shouting at the TV. As I slowly began to stop enjoying competing in Judo my interest in competing in MMA grew more and more. My intention was to compete at the highest standard and be a world champion.

5. Who are your role models in the sport of MMA?
Forrest Griffin is a role model for me.

Hulk Hogan, because he’s got the largest arms in the world brother!

  • How long is your training camp?
I don’t have a training camp, I train all year round.
  • What is your typical day like?
I normally wake up about 9:30 for breakfast, first training will be late morning at Titan Fighter and will be a very intense practice with the fight team and my head coaches. I do my strength and conditioning training in the afternoon and then have a technical training session in the evening at Fight Zone. In between these sessions I’ll do extra pad work, teach private training sessions and group classes. I usually have a protein shake and a meal between each training session.
  • Did you change anything up keeping Dalcha in mind?
There are always tactical changes and I brought in some different training partners, but the overall camp has not changed.

8. How do you think Dalcha will approach the fight and what will you be doing to combat this?
I don’t try to predict how my opponent will fight, I just expect a 25 minute war.

9. As you’re walking to the cage, what’s usually going on in your mind?
As I walk into the cage I like to embrace the moment and enjoy the energy.

10. What advice would you give a young fighter, either someone just getting into MMA or someone thinking about getting into the sport?
Have fun, work hard and be smart. If you don’t enjoy training you probably won’t commit to it fully, whether it is MMA, BJJ, wrestling, judo, boxing or Muay Thai you will do the best at what you enjoy the most! Nothing replaces hard work in the long term, all the best fighters work their asses off. The most important thing is to be smart, you need to be intelligent about your training and honest with yourself. Sometimes hard work isn’t the answer to a problem and you must think.
