EPL Round 16: Bet Preview

Chelsea were the latest side to be usurped at the top of the Premier League table, as they dropped points at London rivals West Ham, allowing Manchester City and Liverpool to make up ground. Manchester United’s Ralf Rangnick era got off to the perfect start with a gritty win at home to Crystal Palace, whilst Everton picked up a much needed win over Arsenal and Newcastle picked up their first win of the season at the expense of Burnley.

Here are our picks for round 16 in the Premier League:

Brentford vs Watford – Brentford Community Stadium

Brentford – 21/20

Watford – 7/2

Draw – 5/2

Two promoted sides do battle on Friday evening as Brentford host Watford in West London. This should be a very good game, with both sides likely to play on the front foot and a draw looks the most likely outcome.

Manchester City vs Wolves – Etihad Stadium

Manchester City – 2/11

Wolves – 20/1

Draw – 7/1

Champions Manchester City will be looking to continue their recent league winning streak as they host Wolves. City are purring in the league currently and should prevail here.

Arsenal vs Southampton – Emirates Stadium

Arsenal – 7/10

Southampton – 5/1

Draw – 3/1

Arsenal will be looking to bounce back from their disappointing defeat at Everton last time out as they take on Southampton. This could be tighter than people think but Arsenal should come out on top at home here.

Chelsea vs Leeds United – Stamford Bridge

Chelsea – 3/10

Leeds United – 10/1

Draw – 5/1

Chelsea will be looking to respond to their London Derby at West Ham, as they take on an improving Leeds side. This should be one-way traffic at Stamford Bridge however and Chelsea should prevail comfortably.

Liverpool vs Aston Villa – Anfield

Liverpool – 3/11

Aston Villa – 12/1

Draw – 6/1

Liverpool will be looking to keep pace with Manchester City as they host their former player Steven Gerrard and his Aston Villa side. This should be an excellent game, between two good footballing sides, which Liverpool should just about prevail from.

Norwich City vs Manchester United – Carrow Road

Norwich City – 13/2

Manchester United – 1/2

Draw – 15/4

Manchester United will be looking to build on their winning start under Ralf Rangnick, as they take on a resurgent Norwich City. United should have no issues here though against an inconsistent Norwich City side.

Brighton vs Tottenham Hotspur – AMEX Stadium

Brighton – 5/4

Tottenham – 3/1

Draw – 12/5

Brighton take on Tottenham on the South Coast, with the Spurs squad obliterated by COVID 19 running through the camp. With uncertainty surrounding the players available to play the game, it’s difficult to predict an outcome, making the draw the most likely result.

Burnley vs West Ham United – Turf Moor

Burnley – 14/5

West Ham United – 2/1

Draw – 35/13

Burnley will be doing all they can to pull away from a relegation scrap as they host West Ham. West Ham have been in superb form this term, but they won’t be relishing this trip to Burnley however and this could end up being a stodgy one, with the draw the most likely outcome in Lancashire.

Leicester City will be looking to get their season back on track as they host Newcastle United. This could be an entertaining game, between two sides that look to play good football, with Leicester most likely to prevail with three points in the bag.

Crystal Palace vs Everton – Selhurst Park

Two sides looking to break into the top half come the end of the season face off, as Crystal Palace welcome Everton to East London. This should be a very good game, with the draw the most likely outcome.
