Chelsea and PSG will decide who wins the inaugural FIFA Club World Cup championship. On one side are the Europa Conference League winners, and on the other, the undisputed rulers of the UEFA Champions League.
There’s a lot at stake here. First, if Chelsea wins, they will become the club that has won all the possible trophies. If PSG wins, Luis Enrique is on the path to collect all the possible trophies in one season and repeat his success with Barca.
So, let’s say that legacy is at stake too, and this isn’t an ordinary game.
Here are FIFA Club World Cup odds.
Chelsea VS PSG Preview
Chelsea played just one European team in the whole tournament, and many say this is the reason why they reached the finals. We disagree. The Blues showed solid football, and they evolved with João Pedro coming, with the former Brighton player upgrading the offense to another level. After all, he scored two goals against Fluminense. We expect him to be the biggest threat against PSG.
Chelsea has 5 wins and one defeat at the FIFA CWC, and in all victories, the Blues scored at least twice. This needs to be acknowledged. Again, not many pundits and players notice the power of Chelsea’s attack, and imagine what it would be with a bit more efficient striker than Jackson. Pedro’s presence ahead should elevate Chelsea’s offense to a whole another level.
They say you can't win anything with kids ❌ Tell that to Chelsea and PSG who have the second and third youngest squads at the Club World Cup 😎

PSG defeated Real Madrid 4-0 and beat Bayern Munich 2-0, scoring the second goal with two players fewer on the pitch. That’s all you need to know about this team and its power. It appears that Luis Enrique created a machine that might last for several years. Sure, Real made a few mistakes which opened the game well for the Parisians’ but be sure that even without those errors, the Saints would roll over the Los Blancos.
PSG scored 16 goals in the competition, allowing just one. That sole loss was against Botafogo, 0-1, but even in that one the Sants were dominating the pitch from the kick off until the end. There’s nothing to speak about further; this team is one of the best in the history of football, and that’s a fact.
Chelsea VS PSG: Players to Watch
Joao Pedro showed his skills again against Fluminense, creating magic on he field. And do know that he didn’t have any time to adapt and build chemistry, which means that he will only get better as time goes by. Chelsea received a playmaker in the attack, who is also a lethal finisher and knows numerous ways to hurt rivals.
Fabian Ruiz. He not only does the dirty work, but lately goes ahead to score or make an assist. The fantastic midfielder is, in our opinion, the best player at PSG in this tournament, because he organizes everything perfectly.
Chelsea VS PSG Head to Head
These two clubs didn’t meet too often in recent years, and their last encounters were in the 2016 UCL, when PSG eliminated Chelsea from the knockout stage, winning both events 2-1.
Interestingly, both teams have scored, and there were 2 or 3 goals in the previous five H2H contests.
Chelsea VS PSG Predictions
We know that there were numerous surprises in games big as this one, yet in this case, the chances of seeing a sensation are slim. PSG plays unreal football, and Chelsea’s defense hasn’t been tested properly at this tournament, and that’s a fact. There weren’t any fast players ahead of the Blues’ defense like PSG’s, which is the biggest reason why we have to side with the Saints and bet on their win here.
