Formula 1 racing at night is fantastic, which is why many fans eagerly await the start of the Singapore Grand Prix. This is one of the most spectacular events in the sports world, and the fans from all across the world come here to see and participate.
F1 Singapore can seal the first title this year, and that would be in the Team Championship. McLaren is awfully close to this, because both of their drivers are far ahead of the rivals, battling for the Driver’s title between themselves.
Max Verstappen, however, wants to interfere, and the champions responded with two wins in a row, indicating that he still isn’t done, and that the leading duo must keep an eye on him.

F1 Singapore Preview
The fact that Max has two wins in a row explains a lot, because the Dutch reached one hell of a form and looks very dangerous now. We all know that his stubbornness and fighting mentality can turn things around, and if the vehicle keeps up with Max’s pace (and Red Bull looks constant these days), anything is possible.

In Azerbaijan, Verstappen secured both the fastest lap and the pole position, marking the second consecutive pole position for the Dutch driver. So he has speed, and as we can see, pace isn’t lacking at all.
Regarding McLarens, Piastri was out in Azerbaijan, but Norris didn’t use that situation. The Brit was only 7th in the end, so overall, he didn’t cut the distance between him and the rival too much. At the moment, the gap between the two teammates is 25 points. Just to note, Max is 69 points behind the leader, Piastri.
George Russell looks fine and consistent. Mercedes’ driver was second last weekend, and it seems that the Silver Arrow now sets the foundations for the next year, when we expect to see them much more competitive.
Regarding the Ferrari, things are disappointing, with them still pushing Leclerc as the No. 1 driver. That’s why the Prancing Horse sits third in the classification behind Mercedes.
Marina Bay Night Setup
We’ve already mentioned the night driving factor here. Certainly, that’s something complicated for the drivers who have to adjust to an entirely new scenery. First of all, there’s no daylight, and having to drive under the neon and LED lights can be too demanding.

Safety cars are relatively common in Singapore, possibly due to the fact that it’s a street track. We need to note that, overall, this appears to be a fast circuit. And do know, when the safety car comes out, all the tactics are falling apart. That’s why we see different standings in the end from the predicted ones.
F1 Singapore History
Overall, we’ve seen 23 races in Singapore, but in this format 15. The first was in 2008. Sebastian Vettel has 5 wins here, Lewis Hamilton 4, and Graeme Lawrence 3.
When examining the constructors, Ferrari leads with 5 wins, while Red Bull and Mercedes each have 4.
Last year’s winner was Lando Norris in McLaren-Mercedes, who looked very confident, winning with an 11-second edge over Verstappen and Piastri. Daniel Ricciardo drove the fastest lap.
