It will be a shock if any big name player rumoured to be available this summer isn’t liked with Manchester United before their move is made.
The Red Devils are looking at a complete overhaul this summer and on the heels of the news that Philippe Coutinho is in their crosshairs, it is also emerging that United are chasing one of the brightest young midfielders in England.
Reports are out that United have already made contact with Leicester City midfielder James Maddison on a move that would cost something int he region of 60 million pounds to complete. The England U21 international was simply sensational for the Foxes this past season, scoring seven goals and making seven assists as Leicester finished in the top half of the table.
Maddison formed a deadly attacking combination with Jamie Vardy and he was at his best at the tail end of the season when Brendan Rodgers took over as the gaffer in the East Midlands.
United are looking at Maddison as a potential replacement for Paul Pogba, with the French international reportedly a target of Real Madrid. Maddison, though, may have issues with the Red Devils not being a Champions League club for the 2019-20 season.
United are 0.90 with BetXChange to finish in the Top 4 next season and are 20.00 to take home the trophy.
