The 2016 Nedbank Golf Challenge was filled with suspense, intrigue and brilliant golf. The Challenge was won by Swede, Alex Noren, with a superb final round of 63 on Sunday 13th November at the Gary Player Country Club in Sun City.

Noren has been dreaming of this day for almost 15 years. “It’s unbelievable. I tried to get in this tournament so many years, and when I got in here, to end up winning, it feels unbelievable,” he said.

Noren started the day at 6 shots behind leader, Jeunghun Wang. He went out in 30 and then went into the back nine with an eagle and birdie on 10 and 11 as Wang capitulated with a double bogey on the front nine and then a run of four bogeys in his final six holes.

The Swede credits his win to good mental preparation before the final day as we as recently becoming a father.
