Saturday sees us reach Match 11 of the 2026 SA20 competition. Match 11 has Sunrisers Eastern Cape traveling to Johannesburg to face the Joburg Super Kings.
Here is a look ahead at the contest.

Joburg Super Kings VS Sunrisers Eastern Cape Date: Saturday, January 3
Joburg Super Kings VS Sunrisers Eastern Cape Odds:
History
This should be a good one, as it features the top two teams on the log after three matches.
The Joburg Super Giants sit in first place, with three wins from three and one bonus point for having a run rate difference of over 1.25 against one of their opponents.
Sunrisers Eastern Cape are hot on the Super Kings’ heels. They have 10 points from their three games, picking up a bonus point in both wins. They also have by far the best Net Run Rate in the comp, with their 3.035 rate just about double that of the Super Kings.
This run rate mainly came out of the Sunrisers’ Match 3 demolition of the Paarl Royals. After electing to bat, Sunruisers raced out to 186/4 from their 20 overs with Jordan Hermann setting the pace on an unbeaten 62. The Royals managed just 49 runs in their reply, being skittled inside 12 overs.
Anrich Nortje excelled with the ball, not surprisingly, as he took four wickets for just 13 runs in three overs of work.
Joburg Super Kings
The Super Kings’ last two games have progressed in opposite ways. In Match 6, the Super Kings bowled out the Durban’s Super Giants for 86 runs, chasing down that target with eight overs to spare.
In their home game on New Year’s Day against the same opponents, they had to work much harder for the win. They came through in a thriller, showing the stuff that true champions are made of as they prevailed in the Super Over after both teams scored 205 in a batting assault.
They held the Super Giants to 5/1 from their over, chasing them down without loss after three balls had been bowled.
Rilee Rossow is the leading run scorer, and he is 23/4 to be the top batsman here. They have also seen contributions from Wiaan Mulder (19/2) and Shubhan Ranjane (19/1).
Sunrisers Eastern Cape
Sunrisers’ only defeat so far came in their last outing, and they will be keen to get back on track here. They lost at home to the Paarl Royals in a tight one, with Paarl winning by five wickets after passing the Sunrisers’ total of 149 with just two balls left in the match.
Their pace attack has been frightening. The lead trio of Anrich Nortje (5/1), Marco Jansen (11/2), and Adam Milne (11/2) have kept all opponents to date in check. Any one of the three could be the top bowler here, while batsmen Quinton de Kock (9/2) and Jordan Hermann (35/4) have been the pair delivering the runs.
Best Bets
If you think the Super Kings are going to win this, then taking Richard Gleeson as the bowler of the match is worth a punt at 43/10. He has been the leading light in their attack, taking eight wickets through three games at a rate of 7.5 runs per over.
If you are playing the matchup, then the lean is with Sunrisers. They have won three of the four matches between the two, and their lineup is frightening.
