The Copa del Rey finals between Barcelona and Real Madrid take place in Sevilla at the stadium La Cartuja. This will be yet another El Clasico in the current season, third official, fourth if we count in the friendly during the preseason.
Barcelona has the upper edge, having won all three previous events, yet Blaugrana might not have Robert Lewandowski, who is questionable due to a hamstring injury. On the other hand, Real is in crisis—that’s obvious—with all the speculations about the new head coach and possible transfers this season following a stretch of poor performances that resulted in an exit from the Champions League knockout stage.

This game has a high significance and is also very tempting for us to bet on it. Barcelona is a slight favorite, but odds don’t mean a thing in El Clasico. For more betting markets and odds for this event, follow this link.
Barcelona VS Real Madrid Preview
Barcelona
Robert Lewandowski scored 25 goals in La Liga, 11 in the Champions League, one in the Spanish Super Cup, and three in Copa Del Rey. Impressive. He is still in the race for the European Golden Boot, something he has already won in the past.
With him on the field, Barcelona is unstoppable. Without him, Blaugrana is still strong but not as sharp upfront as when the Pole plays. Barca played this Tuesday night against Mallorca, beating the rivals 1-0. It was very strange not to see at least three goals scored by Flick’s boys because they killed the rivals in all aspects of the play, yet couldn’t score due to the rival’s goalkeeper, Leo Roman.
Barcelona scored four or more goals 22 times this year, and that’s worth remembering. The Catalan giants used Bayern’s tactics under Flick, and the German manager replicated them with his current team. We can say such an approach gives wonderful results.
Real Madrid
Following the loss in the Champions League to Arsenal and the elimination from the competition, Real recorded two wins in a row against Bilbao at home and Getafe on the road. They both had the same result: 1-0.
We haven’t seen anything encouraging for Los Blancos in these events. Furthermore, they didn’t play well at all. The win against Bilbao was mere luck, with Valverde’s screamer in the 93rd minute.
When it comes to efficiency, three of the previous four games Real played had only one goal. Los Blancos’ defense is very unstable these days, allowing at least a goal in seven of the recent ten appearances. That’s something that has been bothering them throughout the entire year. Injuries did start all this, yet it’s interesting that Ancelotti couldn’t find the cure to solve it.
Barcelona VS Real Madrid Head to Head
Three games so far, three wins by Barca. At first, there was a friendly match in August, in which Barca won 2-1. After that, in late October Real’s humiliation at home, 0-4, followed by the Super Cup loss, 2-5, which ignited all the problems Los Blancos later experienced.
It seems that Hansi Flick perfectly exploits Real’s flaws.
Barcelona VS Real Madrid Predictions
It all depends upon Lewandowski’s status. If the Pole plays, we pick Barca to score twice in this event. With him onboard, Barca has enough power to smash Real, who improved its defense in the last three La Liga matches, keeping clean sheets. Though, the rivals were pretty modest, without some flashy attacking potential.
If not, we pick 2 or 3 goals, or a moderate efficiency. Flick won’t be so courageous in that situation but lay back and wait for a chance to strike on a break because Real needs to attack as it has four points fewer in the La Liga standings.
