It was a long weekend filled with sports action. Here we highlight some of the best sporting events of the weekend.

Rugby

England under their new couch, Eddie Jones, beat France 31-21 to win the Six Nations and the Grand Slam, something they last achieved in 2003.

In other results Wales smashed Italy 67-14, to secure second place in the six nations. Ireland finished 3rd with a 35-25 victory over Scotland.

There were some high scoring and entertaining Super Rugby matches this weekend with the Crusaders comfortably beating the Southern Kings 57-24. The match of the weekend however was the Chiefs vs the Jaguares. The Chiefs scored a try with just two minutes to go which ultimately won them the match.

Soccer

The Premiership title race is pretty much a two horse race. Both Leicester City and Tottenham won over the weekend with Leicester keeping their 5 point lead with 66 points. Arsenals beat Everton 2-0 and sit on 55 points with a game in hand and still have an outside chance of claiming the title.

Cricket

The ICC World Twenty20 is in full swing with some cracking games. Both New Zealand and West Indies are unbeaten after 2 games. South Africa got their tournament back on track as they cruised to a victory against Afghanistan after a loss to England in their opening match. They play the log leaders West Indies on Friday.
