The Formula One season continues this weekend, as the action moves to Russia. There has already been no shortage of talking points this season in the F1 and that only looks set to continue, but which driver will claim success at the Russian Grand Prix?
F1: Russian Grand Prix History
The will be the ninth time that Russia have held a Grand Prix, with the very first coming back in 1913. After hosting the race again in the following year, it would be a wait of 100 years before Russia would get to host an F1 race again. The decision to host the race in Russia was decided in 2010, and the first Russian Grand Prix took place four years later in Sochi. Like most races on the F1 calendar, Lewis Hamilton has an exceptional record in Sochi, as he has won four of the six recent editions of the race.
Mercedes have a perfect record in the Russian Grand Prix, as they have been the winning constructor in the race for all eight. Hamilton has won the last two Russian Grand Prix’s, while the other two drivers that have won the race are Nico Rosberg in 2016, and Valtteri Bottas in 2016.
