Following a thrilling finish of the 2022/23 campaign, Bundesliga is back. Germany’s finest football kicks off this Friday night, with Bayern visiting Werder Bremen.
The upcoming year will be a big one for football fans in this country, as they host the EURO 2024. But let’s get back to Bundesliga.
Last year Bayern won the title in the last round, overtaking Borussia Dortmund, who wil remember this loss until the end of time. We’ll see if they managed to recover from it. Stay tuned for a seasonal preview of one of the best football leagues in the world.
Winners
Bayern is the absolute favorite for yet another title. Though, we need to add that the Bavarians aren’t that confident lately, having all sorts of problems in their organization and locker room. Thomas Tuchel didn’t start his tenure well, and it will be interesting to see how things develop for both him and Bayern. The team landed Harry Kane, one of the best strikers in the world, who is under heavy pressure to start delivering right away.
A lucky thing for the team from Munich is that all of their rivals sold some of their best players. Though, that didn’t prevent RB Leipzig from humiliating the champs in the German Super Cup, in their own house. The Bulls have a very interesting and young team, with plenty of players who might become superstars in the near future. They just need time and a little bit of luck.
Meanwhile, Borussia was quiet. They lost Bellingham and added Sabitzer and Nmecha. They already have a talented core, but it seems that the Millionaires need more in order to be competitive, especially in the back line.
Leverkusen is out of the picture, the same as Union Berlin, even though these units can cause problems for all the present teams in the league, in the long run, they haven’t got the depth to be competitive in the title race.
So, to be honest, we will see a one-sided race here. Despite all the problems, the Bavarians are the strongest teams in the league, and they should win the title. With Kane, they finally have a typical striker, something they lacked since Robert Lewandowski left.

Top Four Places
Bayern is No.1, while RB and Borussia stand as massive favorites to take one of the remaining spots. Bayer Leverkusen and Union Berlin should battle for that last place which leads to the UEFA Champions League. For the moment, both teams look as if they have a similar quality, but Leverkusen lost Moussa Diaby, while Union only brought players. That’s why we would give a small edge to the team from Berlin.
Pick: Bayern, RB, Dortmund, Union at BetXchange
Relegation
The two newcomers, Heindenheim and Dramstad are leading the way here, as the top favorites for losing the Bundesliga status. It is normal to see the promoted sides leaving the elite company after only one year, and that’s why the bookmakers made these two teams the top favorites to go down. Bochum is on the list as well, with the Undescendables closely avoiding such fate in the past years.
Pick: Hindenheim, Darmstat at BetXchange
Top Goalscorer
With Nkunku and Diaby out of the picture, Kane is projected to be the Golden Boot. With all due respect, the English striker won’t have any competition in Germany, and we won’t even mention other competitors. It would need a miracle to see someone jeopardize a three-time Premier League top scorer. Bayern will work for him, just like for Lewandowski, and we might even see him chasing some records set by the Polish superstar.
