Series Preview:
Two of the biggest sides on the planet do battle as India travel to England. The hosts have struggled within the Test Match arena for consistency lately, being comfortably beaten by New Zealand last time out but they are a side that are very dangerous in home conditions.
India meanwhile were also edged out by New Zealand in a thrilling World Test Championship, and they will be keen to stake their claim to return to the top of the ICC World Test rankings with a win here.
With no love lost between the two sides and English conditions and crowds sure to provide an enthralling back drop, it promises to be a superb series of Test cricket.
Team Previews
England
Hosts England have endured a tough summer on the injury/illness front with both Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer set to miss out on the whole series. Consequently, the bowling department is sure to take a bit of a hit in this series but in home conditions, there are few better bowlers than James Anderson and Stuart Broad.
In the batting department England do look a little thin. Joe Root will captain the side and will be the man called upon for big scores whilst Jonny Bairstow finds himself back in the Test set-up. The likes of Dom Sibley, Rory Burns and Dan Lawrence will all be keen to showcase their talents here and could cement a place in the side moving forward with good series.
India
Led by talismanic leader Virat Kohli, India will feel they are capable of beating any side, anywhere in the world currently. Kohli’s weight of runs is often enough to propel India to victory but with the likes of KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant and Ajinkya Rahane all stepping up too, India have plenty of batting options.
Ravi Ashwin and Ravi Jadeja are two of the best spinners in world cricket but may not be used all that much in English conditions, handing the initiative to the likes of Ishant Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah, who will spearhead the pace attack.

England vs India Betting Prediction
India are a proven outfit, across all conditions in the world and their series win in Australia earlier in the year was a real market for Virat Kohli’s side. England are missing a few key players and India should have too much for them in placid conditions at Trent Bridge.
