The starting center of the Boston Celtics and one of the cornerstones of this team, Al Horford will probably leave Massachusets this summer.

According to several sources, the 33-year old is not going to exercise his $30.1 million option for the upcoming season, but will look for another place to continue his career.

The things were planned differently in his case. All the media and the experts were suggesting that he might decide to decline the last year on his contract and re-talk the deal with the Celtics. But unfortunately for both parties they couldn’t reach the agreement.

Right now, there are no intentions that talks might start over.

What is a reason for this nobody knows, but some are guessing. It turned out that Celtics’ big plans for attacking the title disappeared, because of the chemistry among the players which became toxic. We’ve seen on several occasions that the youngsters and the veterans aren’t willing to cooperate as they should, which eventually decreased the potential of this crew.

The same sources are suggesting that Kyrie Irving might sign with the Brooklyn Nets, claiming that Uncle Drew doesn’t even consider about coming back to Boston.

All this was a sign for Horford to start looking his luck somewhere else. He has 33 years and doesn’t have too much time at disposal in his search for the title.

The five-time All-Star and two-time NCAA champion, was one of the best centers in the league since he came from college, but he wasn’t even close of reaching the ring.

There weren’t any clubs which expressed some kind of an interest for Horford at the moment.
