Following a 101-day hiatus, the Premier League returned during the past week, with the usual drama once again the order of the day. The goal-line technology system failed to deliver as Sheffield United were robbed of all three points at Aston Villa whilst VAR controversy reigned as Tottenham and Manchester United drew. There were wins for Manchester City and Chelsea, who kept up their respective pushes for a top 4 finish, whilst champions elect Liverpool couldn’t manage to take a significant step towards the title – only managing a draw with Everton. With fixtures coming thick and fast, there is still plenty to play for in the Premier League.
Here are our picks for the next round of fixtures in the Premier League:
Leicester City vs Brighton
Leicester have struggled for form during the second half of the season and whilst Brighton are fighting for their lives at the bottom of the table, the Foxes should have too much about them at home here.
Score Prediction – Leicester City 3 – 1 Brighton @ 14.09
Betxchange Best Bet – Both teams to score – YES – 0.86
Tottenham vs West Ham United
This could be a fiery London Derby and whilst West Ham have been in poor form all season, Tottenham are a side very low on confidence and the Hammers will fancy their chances of pinching a point here.
Score Prediction – Tottenham 1 – 1 West Ham United @ 6.71
Betxchange Best Bet – The match to finish as a draw – 2.96
Manchester United vs Sheffield United
Sheffield United have enjoyed an incredible season under Chris Wilder in the Premier League and are in contention for a top 6 finish but Manchester United are a side in good form and look to have a top 4 finish well in their sights.
Score Prediction – Manchester United 2 – 0 Sheffield United @ 5.14
Betxchange Best Bet – Manchester United to be winning at half time and full time – 0.99
Newcastle United vs Aston Villa
Aston Villa are in the midst of a relegation scrap and will be desperate to put pressure on the sides above them, but Newcastle are a very strong side, particularly at home and they should come through this test.
Score Prediction – Newcastle United 2 – 0 Aston Villa @ 10.32
Betxchange Best Bet – Both teams to score – NO – 0.90
Norwich City vs Everton
Norwich City look to be well cut adrift at the bottom of the league and with Everton displaying good form against Liverpool last time out, the Toffees should win well here.
Score Prediction – Norwich City 1 – 3 Everton @ 14.68
Betxchange Best Bet – First Goal Scorer: Richarlison – 4.61
Wolves vs Bournemouth
Bournemouth are fighting for their Premier League lives and currently find themselves in the drop zone, but Wolves should be way too good at home, as they push for a top 4 finish.
Score Prediction – Wolves 3 – 1 Bournemouth @ 14.71
Betxchange Best Bet – Both teams to score – YES – 1.03
Liverpool vs Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace are one of the form teams in the division and always play well away from home, but Liverpool only need 5 points for their maiden Premier League title and should win here.
Score Prediction – Liverpool 3 – 1 Crystal Palace @ 11.44
Betxchange Best Bet – Both teams to score – YES – 1.23
Burnley vs Watford
Watford are scrambling for their lives at the bottom of the table and should meet their match against a competitive Burnley side, that are eying up a top half finish.
Score Prediction – Burnley 1 – 1 Watford @ 5.22
Betxchange Best Bet – The match for finish as a draw – 2.21
Southampton vs Arsenal
Southampton have improved massively over the second half of the season and should carry on that excellent form against an Arsenal side desperately low on confidence.
Score Prediction – Southampton 2 – 1 Arsenal @ 9.45
Betxchange Best Bet – Both teams to score – YES – 0.63
Chelsea vs Manchester City
The Premier League is at the bottom of the priority list for Manchester City whilst Chelsea need points in their top 4 pursuit, meaning a draw looks the most likely result in this clash of the titans.
Score Prediction – Chelsea 1 – 1 Manchester City @ 6.50
Betxchange Best Bet – First Goal Scorer: Sergio Aguero – 2.35
