Heavyweight action will headline the card at UFC Fight Night this weekend, as Derrick Lewis and Chris Daukhaus collide. It isn’t the only huge event that is on the card this weekend at the UFC Apex either, as Stephen Thompson and Belal Muhammad meet in the co-main event, while Amanda Lemos and Angela Hill also clash in a contest in the women’s strawweight division. You can find out more about the main event this weekend below, including the latest odds for the huge showdown in the octagon.

Lewis vs Daukhaus Odds

The current favourite in the BetXchange odds for the fight inside the octagon this weekend is Chris Daukaus. He is currently available at 7/10 to win the fight. Meanwhile, Lewis is the outsider of the two, at 11/10, However, the close nature of the betting markets highlight that this is a bout that could go either way. The odds were wrong in both the big bout last weekend at UFC 269, which means that there could be value in the betting this weekend.

Daukhaus On Hot Streak

Chris Daukhaus is likely to be the favourite coming into this bout, as he has been in electric form in recent years in the UFC. He made his UFC debut at UFC 252, as he beat Parker Porter by TKO in the first round. He is yet to suffer a defeat in the UFC, having won all four fights that he has had. He has only gone past the first round on one occasion during this record, with that coming in his last appearance in the octagon at UFC 266, as he beat Shamil Abdurakhimov by punches and elbows in the second round of their contest.

Daukhaus has won the Performance of the Night bonus in each of his last three fights in the UFC. The most recent of his three defeats came in March 2019, as he lost by TKO against Azunna Anyawu at Cage Fury FC 73, as he come up short in his goal to win the Cage Fury FC Heavyweight title.

Lewis Looking To Bounce Back

Derrick Lewis is one of the most recognisable heavyweights in the UFC, but he will be looking to bounce back after suffering the eighth defeat of his career in August. He was beaten by Ciryl Gane by TKO in the third round at UFC 265, as he was attempting to win the interim heavyweight title.

That defeat ended a run of four straight defeats for Lewis, as he had previously beaten Curtis Blaydes, Aleksei Oleinik and Balgoy Ivanov. Lewis last challenged for the world title in November 2018, but he was beaten by submission in the second round by Daniel Cormier.

Derrick Lewis vs Chris Daukhaus Prediction

This should be a fascinating fight at the UFC Apex this weekend. Lewis has the experience over his rival, but the roll that Daukhaus has been on since joining the UFC has been exceptional. We like the chances of the favourite this weekend.

Pick: Chris Daukhaus @ 7/10 with BetXchange.
