For the doubles tournament, points are combined from any eleven tournaments throughout the year. A players points and performance throughout the year and at various tournaments is important to keep track of to determine an effective betting strategy.

What is also important for betting odds is how the tournament is played. The singles event features eight players split into two groups of four. Each player plays the other three ladies in her group over the first four days of the tournament. The top two in one group play the top two in the other group and vice versa. The winners of these play each other in the final. How the players played one another in previous tournaments should be noted as well as any injuries and the physical condition of the players.
