Gameweek 23 of the English Premier League starts on Saturday afternoon, being another one that follows the mid-week challenges. We again expect to see interesting results and suggest you stay with us for the next five minutes to pick up certain information that could be useful. Welcome to another BetXChange EPL preview.
Aston Villa vs. Arsenal
The opener, and one game that is truly an enigma for the punters. Villa is in win-lose mode, while on the other side, the gunners can’t get any consistency as well, as they started losing following a pretty good stretch. Because of all this, don’t bet on the winner. Instead, chose efficiency, a moderate one, meaning between 2 and 3 goals.
Pick: 2 or 3 goals, 1.00 at BetXChange
Burnley vs. Brighton
The Clarets had two tough opponents in the past few days, and losing against Chelsea and Man City won’t cast a shadow on their good performances before that. On the other side, the Seagulls are superb, and their excellent stretch was crowned with a win over Liverpool lately. These two sides are defensive-minded, and you can see that from their results. That forces us to bet on the low efficiency.
Pick: Under 2.5 goals 0.60 at BetXChange
Newcastle vs. Southampton
The match between the terrible Magpies and the humiliated Saints, who, by the way, are on a three-game losing streak. Now, even though Southampton lost 9-0 in Manchester, they won’t repeat such performance up north, and we are most definitely backing them up not to lose at St. James Park.
Pick: draw or Southampton, 0.38 at BetXChange
Fulham vs. West Ham
Even though the Cottagers struggle and give their maximum, it is obvious that this team doesn’t have what it takes to compete with other EPL teams. They haven’t won a match in the past 13 events. Meanwhile, the Hammers continued to play well, beating Aston Villa on the road. They have one loss in the past 10 events.
Pick: West Ham 1.05 at BetXChange
Manchester United vs. Everton
The Red Devils recovered from two nasty failures against Sheffield Utd and Arsenal, and scored nine vs. Saints. They now host Everton, who posted a big W on the road in Leeds, proving that they won’t back down from fighting for the UCL spot that easy. The Toffees are without a loss in six straight on the road, but it is our opinion that such a streak stops now.
Pick: United 0.50 at BetXChange
Tottenham vs. West Brom
The Spurs need to win here, especially following a loss against Chelsea on Thursday night. It seems that the title dreams are long gone for Mourinho’s side, but the UCL spot needs to be cinched. Meanwhile, the Baggies show some signs of life, yet they can’t compete with Tottenham, who is in a must-win situation.
Pick: Tottenham 0.45 at BetXChange
Wolves vs. Leicester
The hosts finally won at home, and they beat Arsenal. After three consecutive with under 1.5 goals that one saw three. As for the Foxes, they continued a defeatless streak on the road, which now stands at eight matches. Expect a tough and cautious game here.
Pick: Under 2.5 goals 0.65 at BetXChange
Liverpool vs. Manchester City
This is the match that will probably decide the title. If the Reds lose, it is more less over, but Klopp’s side will have some chances of defending the throne if they win. We can’t bet on anything else but a high number of goals here due to the fantastic offensive potential.
Pick: Over 2.5 goals 0.68 at BetXChange
Sheffield United vs. Chelsea
The Blades have three wins in the past four events across all competitions, and they seem ready to give one last push in the relegation battle. As for the Blues, winning 0-1 against Tottenham is a big deal for Tuchel, and they won’t be stopping now. From what we saw, the German tightened up the defense, and we won’t be expecting too many goals in Chelsea’s matches anymore.
Pick: Under 2.5 goals 0.90 at BetXChange
Leeds vs. Crystal Palace
The match that closes the round, and a very tricky one for betting. The Peacocks won two in a row, before losing to Everton. Meanwhile, the Eagles have two straight wins right now, beating Wolves and Newcastle. This event is perfect for a draw, which will be our final suggestion today.
Pick: Draw at 2.80 at BetXChange
